Anyone know if I could this could be wired up to my XJ? If so what kind of modifications would it require?

any more information? brands etc? yes there are types of speedometers you can use, is that what you want? if so look into sigma sport bike speedos, trailtech vapor gauges, and electrosport are ones I've seen used.
all of them are pretty simple to set up you need wheel size to program, and to affix a sensor.

Judging from the fact it has its own wheel speed sensor, it should work with any bike.

I would think it should work just fine. I like how it looks. DO you have a matching tach to put on it as well?

whew thats kinda pricy... doable tho if you have your heart set on it. personally id still check out acewell gauges but that looks like a pretty nice setup. probably would take ten minutes to set up.

Very pretty and pricey! Should work though. I would shop around a bit more before you buy. That basic setup doesn't require that price and you should find something very similar for much less. If it's a stylistic thing you should still be able to find a better deal, if it's not then there are multitudes of speedo's out there.

I've seen some on ebay from time to time that go for about $80.

Most of them have just about the same set-up
