From what he describes as the condition of the bike, $100 would be a more reasonable price.

Love the advert wording, oh yeah pull the frame straight & weld some angle iron on to hold it in place  haha yeah I'd trust that to 130mph....

I may be wrong but I don't think that is a 750, more like a 650. bars and cluster are different than OEM

Talked to him today. Says it is an XJ750j (same as mine) still asked for text of vin to verify. A couple of parts missing already, mostly brake stuff. Odd cause I think he said the rear rotor was taken....didn't think many, if any, shaft models had rear disks? Anyways motor and carbs are there so I think that alone is worth 100 to 150 and a 80 mile round trip.

Rear rotor, could it be an RL? 8O Think the only 750's that had rear disc were RL & E-II.... Any others?

Im not sure i think he just doesnt know what hes talking about lol, still hasnt sent the VIN and he said he would last night...i texted him again

as for road trips yea i like em but not really when i only get 8-10mpg and the wind is so loud in my leaky truck you have to yell to talk to someone on the highway :(

edit i guess i will add that i did get 2 free bikes this week, now i know you all know i cant stand cows but i figure i could sell one and use the other for bolts lol. one is a 1972 G5 100, and other is 77-81 KZ400, both have been outside for over 20 years

What did I just say in the PM about bike prices? those pair are an instant £75 min over here whatever state they're in!

And don't get me started moaning about your MPG when the fuel you put in costs less than half what ours does haha 8O (last time I made the comparison last year it was near as dammit $14 a gallon here)

I shoulda buggered off to Alabama when I had the chance :(

Just gone up by 5p the other day, not sure what it is though something like £2.65/h for an apprentice or £3.68/h otherwise so guess $5-8/h :?

    What is it there?

Actually more to the point what's the average wage?

Nebraska is at $7.75 an hour. not sure what the "average" is considering you have people like bill gates making millions a day and people in poverty making $3 a day....oh and also those damn illegals getting paid under the table....

either way the G5 wont get sold, its my GF's dads bike from when he was a kid, and the KZ im going to get to fire and then check the carbs and what not

not sure what all that means, but i do know that australia is the only country to not go threw a "depression" they keep wages high (minimum is somewhere around $20 an hour i think?) so people have money to spend to keep the economy going and also have money to save yay!

WOW that looks amazing! could easily get that puppy up and running! the one i was looking at was in a rear end accident so front end is cashed and frame is bent.

Update - the guy with the bike here in nebraska had a death in his family so it will be a while before i get the VIN or even the bike. Im in no hurry so i told him take his time.

Ummm, is anyone else thinking what I am? Rear disc..... Bikini fairing.... ya know what that may be don't ya? and it didn't get any bids starting at £150 what's up with that? 8O I'd have more than happily paid that for it if it was nearer to me & turned over OK!

I've asked him what his chassis & engine numbers start with & directed him to this forum :D I'd put money on that engine number only being 29R (only seems to be 3 figures stamped if you zoom into first pic)

Maybe I'll get my bike a fwiendee-woo

EDIT-: it is a 29R just seen a clearer pic of the engine number. Need to change my signature now, there's 2 of them here!!!
