What is the diference between an O'rings chain and a lets say a normal
chain, I know that one has O'rings, I mean driven diferences. And is´t
necessary to change all the trasmision parts, the driven gear and the
    sproket???

the right weblink, like a picture, is worth a thousand words.

The short answer, they retain lube. some are no good for dirtbikes since they also retain dirt. the so called x-ring is the same as an o-ring but with a special shape o-ring that further helps retain chain lube.

It is said that the drive chain, front & rear sprockets should be changed as a set. I don't know what the consensus of the members would be.

My understanding is that old sprockets can cause your new chain to wear 3x as fast. Can't say about your bike, but on my xj600s, a set of new ones cost about 60 bucks. I think its well worth it considering an xring chain is about $100. Especially if you've got so many km on them already. Just my 2 cents.

Igor my friend 42000 KM is WAY OVERDUE for new sprockets.

Yes, replace chain and both sprockets as a set.

We were just discussing this in another thread: http://xjbikes.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=26535.html

If you take care of your chain, keep it clean, lubricated and adjusted, a standard chain will last a long time.

The value of o-ring or x-ring chains is open for debate.

true that. Even the manufactures sales pitch doesn't have the maintenance interval as all that much longer so is it really worth the extra bucks? then on the other hand there's a school who believes that's only to cover their own arses incase someone decides to REALLY neglect it then sue. It's sometimes so hard to weed out all the hearsay and find hard data.

Personally, I don't think the price difference is worth it.

The key is CLEANLINESS along with proper lubrication and adjustment.

Chacal carries them too, I just used this link because of the picture.

Lubricating: I prefer PJ1 Blue Label, this is after years of experimenting with various brands. Once every 400-500 miles.

Adjustment: Check when lubricating, adjust as needed. Spec is in your owner's manual.

Hello Brian my friend, long time no heard from you, hope you are doing well.
I´ll check in Ebay for the price of the set, maybe it´s cheaper to buy there than here.
