    Re: Duel use tyres

    -it's a "trail bike" tire.

-it's only "H" rated (130mph) and your bike can do nearly that. I'd want some more margin.

-might be a tad interesting cornering at any sort of speed in the dry.

I can give one more word of advice: I sure as heck wouldn't MIX a tire like that, especially on the front, with a standard motorcycle road tire on the rear.

As a set, maybe; give 'em a try. But that tire on the front, street tire on the rear? Think twice.

Well, theres an unwritten law called, Ya don't want the tire to grab the groves in the road! I don't know about the UK but here many roads are groved parrelell the the direction of travel, and that tire looks dangerous.
Besides that, I'd think twice before I'd use a tube tire as theyre much more prone to blow outs than tubeless.

One of my primary considerations in choosing a tire. Any front tire with a continuous, straight (or large) center groove will grab at rain grooves.

Tires that don't: Dunlop D404, Avon AM26 RoadRider, Bridgestone BT45 Battlax. (That I've found so far.)

I might add **I love my Avons.**

    Re: Duel use tyres

First off, Its a DUAL PURPOSE tyre, Mainly for road use but more capable off road, gravel/sand etc. fitted to large on/off roaders like Paris Dakar types, BMW GS, Transalp, Varadero...
2nd, We don't have rain grooves in the UK, although tyres with circumferential center grooves do become noticeable when riding along the center (lane marker) lines if they are not matched to the rear one and this tyre does not have them.
3rd, the bike may be capable of this speed, but I very rarely take it above 75 mph, and due to the lack of an effective screen i would say more than 95 mph would be unheard of.
4th, Its stated as being suitable for tubed or tubeless rims.
What I was hoping for was someone who has actually tried this type of tyre on a Maxim.
    I also found this...

I think you are looking at the wrong tyre as this has a block pattern, no center lines.
As for blowouts - I've NEVER heard that one before, why is this?

If you decide to give it a try report back how it works out.
