Hey guys, dynacoils finally arrived, frame all modded so they will fit, but once I put the wires into the coil, they no longer show any resistance. Pull both wires out, the wires show 10K from cap to the other end, and the coil shows 14K. Even plugging just 1 wire in and there is no resistance. Actually, the gauge shows nothing, as if there's no connection. Am I missing something?

Disregard. General reminder: your voltmeter may do funny things when you haven't changed it's battery in forever...

Mine also needs its selector "dial" hammered back and forth through all the positions a few times if I haven't used it in a while.

I had a new battery on the tender last night, when I went to check it's charge (after being unplugged since last night), the voltage was wandering alllllll over the place without me moving anything. Took off the back cover, it was 6 years past it's expiry date. Fresh 9V, away we go.

I have been having terrible luck with tools lately. I did the head gasket on my car a couple weeks ago, and my IMPACT metric set shattered under almost no load taking the head bolts off. Used my neighbour's set, and insto-bamo, the bolts come off.

I think it's time I saved up for a Snap On set.

Don't lets get started on car repairs and tool issues. My "introduction" to the new (-ish) widespread use of "triple square" (twelve point, dammit!) socket-head bolts has amounted to an exercise in frustrating tool searches. That and the new "torque-to-yield" stretchy bolt fasteners with their outrageous torque specs has proven an unending challenge. (My '08 VW has 249K on it.)
