Has anyone installed these kits on the Seca 550/600? Oddly enough, I noticed the Stage 1 kit and Stage 3 kit installation instructions are identical-word-for-word! The difference between the 2 kits is that the Stage 1 kit is designed for stock airbox and the Stage 3 kit is designed for modified airbox or individual K&Ns. I'm thinking it might be a typo? Anyway, I'd like to know if anyone has any dyno run info (even if it's butt-dyno info!) as to whether these kits are worth the extra money. I've been told by several skeptics that they're not for these particular motorcycles.
A friend installed the DynoJet Stage 1 kit on his Virago 1100 and ended up returning it as his roll-on performance was worse and his gas mileage plummeted.

The instructions are probably the same, You have two different settings to deal with. One stock and the other is probably having K&N filters and a flowing pipe on it. The only difference is jet sizes. the filters and pipe will flow better and will require the larger jets. It will most likely be the same for jetting issues. If you are just starting out it will take a while to get it dialed in so to say but the rewards will be great. No more stumble in the lower range and lots of top end power if you are going the stage 3 route.

But to answer your question if it helps. Yup , I had the stage 3 kit on my old racebike, read as a seca 550 with fj 600 motor with head work, wiesco 652 kit , motor balanced, larger stock carbs and loads of other crap done to bike and engine. umm 67 HP and 11.3 second quarter mile passes at 107 mph. Ohh and one nice plaque behind me which states WSMC Vintage class champ from 1997 on it Umm if you build it its fun but remember its old and will never keep up with a brand new r6 unless you have unplugged three of the 4 spark plug wires :p
But you cant get the raves from peeps at the local hangout when you show up on your new r6 as opposed to the old bike. :D
