engine covers from '81 fit '80 650 maxim?

    In the process of trying to rip out the bolts (completely solid and stuck in the engine) I cracked the engine cover on the left side.

    Will the 81 fit my 80?

    other then maybe the YICS stamping on the casing on later years.

    i don't think there's any difference in the motor itself for the short life span it had.

    others might correct me if i'm wrong though.

    The one I found is a midnight maxim 650 1981 cover for the left side, so I just wanted to check if it would work for sure.

    81 to 80 will match perfect.
    I beleive YICS came out in these bike in 82 but even those will fit
