engine swap

    incase of a worst case senario will a 750 seca motor fit into a 650 maxim of same vintage.(are they physically identical / interchangeable.) that is the question here. thanks , mike

    Do some searching. This has been discussed several times just recently...

    In short, yes, but there are a few gotchas. They are not identical. Shifter is different, rigid vs. rubber motor mounts.. You will need the TCI and carbs (or jets and needles) off the 750 as well.

    thanks for the info . it pretty much confirms what i was thinking about the whole deal. the basic stuff for an engine swap / upgrade but i wasnt sure if it physically was the same dimentions or just appeared to be .thanks mike
