engine swap

    Will an XJ750 engine be a straightforward swap into my XJ650??

    I finishing up the exact same thing on my XJ650H. With help from the experts here on the forum I was able to do it fairly smoothly. Check out this thread:

    I also swapped the coil pickup assembly from the 650. The 750 is wired differently.

    I think that's about it other than the 750 has a bigger fuel tank so your range will probably decrease. In my case I might get better range since my 650 wasn't running too great.

    I have a few pics in my gallery of the swap. If you want any details on rewiring the tach, I can post some pics of that too.

    I decided to just fix the box in the one I've already got. But its good to now that its not that hard too do, in case I change my mind in the future.
