I had holes in 2 of my headers, ran it anyway and one of my mufflers cracked all the way around. It was time for a new one anyway. I just did my valve clearances and it's running way better now.

I got a set of used headers off ebay, the type with 4 into 2 with collectors. I ran it to town and back once with no mufflers. It was definitely lacking.

I have a tail pipe spreader, and I almost thought about cutting up the old mufflers and making them slip ons to save money, but then I realized I could probably sell the one good muffler.

I was looking around and found these:

I'm leaning toward the first one.
Does anyone have experience with these? The youtube videos I found make them sound good on other bikes. I know that's a tough thing to go by. They have shorter versions, too. I have the most fun in the twisties so I thought I should go for more on the low end.
