F.S. Yamaha 550 Maxim.

I bought this about a year ago and gave it a mild restore.
It's an 1981/82 with ORIGINAL 4866 miles.
NEW....... tires front/back, chain/sprockets, clutch cable, front braided line, front brake caliper piston/seal, oil/filter, spark plugs and probably other minor stuff..............
Bike is superclean but not showroom.................

Bad points, gas tank was original and bike fell over and dented it, painter attempted to use an airline and blow the dent out!!!! he messed the whole tank, finally got another tank, got it painted, after painting it found a pin prick hole on upper inside seam, so, had it braized so the paint around that area is slightly different color black.

I have been through the carbs twice, fully stripped and cleaned and for some reason if the choke is used it floods it, so I start it with no choke.

Bike runs great, no smoke, great gas mileage.............
