Fair Price for 2nd hand Carbs

    G'Day,What would people consider a fair price to pay for a set of carbs for a 650 in average serviceable condition? please take into account here in australia there is a bit of a difference to availability, thanks in advance,regards ken

    I spose you saw th set on ebay that went for $93, they looked ok, have seen them sell for around $40. Might be better trying a wrecker search or from th US where there are a lot more of them and wearing th postage cost. I got lucky with 4 pistons/slides with good diaphragms for $11 plus postage from th US for spares.

    Ken,

    Liverpool bike wreckers had a set of 4 Hitachi carbs on e-bay last month for $100. Also a set on TradeMe (NZ) recently also about that price. I don't think either sold.

    thanks fella's, the set that went for $93 was due to me bidding $92. i need a spare set to study up on as my bike is running perfect and i dont want to use it as a learning curve.especially if it doesnt need the work.

    Just watched a set I bid $15 on initially go for $126. Don't know why they are going so high. Most of my spare racks ran $35-40.

    Ken..I looked at my records and it was $11 including postage, thats why it was a good deal....but what I got and what you want wouldn't compare on postage..sorry can't help ya.
