Well, I got fed up waiting for a sunny day so have posted these anyway.

I bought the bike last year as a work commuter but quickly found that many things were worn out.
It developed into a winter project - the coldest winter in the UK for 30 years!

Lets just say, I didn't like working in the garage much!

Jobs done include: Recover seat, fit exhaust gaskets, strip and clean carbs, clean up inlet boots, fit air filter, new regulator, repair sidestand switch, replace defective lamps, replace monoshock, replace suspension linkage bushes, replace swing arm needle bearings, overhaul instruments, replace fork seals and oil, repair ignition switch, make a better repair of previous owners electrical repairs!

There are a couple of things I want to do still but these are minor. Now the bike has its "Ministry of Transport" test passed, it's time to ride.

Note: The Euro bikes have the rear indicators mounted below the tail light. The US FJ600 had them mounted below the seat.

The tacho face came from BigFitz - and I think looks better than the standard one.

Many thanks for everyones help and support since I joined the forum - She's almost standard but not in bad shape for a 21 year old!

8O VERY nice and tidy there mate. Those gauges look pretty much original. Should be nice having a little bit of fairing for the frosty mornings too!

VERY NICE! Glad I could contribute in some small way. I'm getting a warm fuzzy.

I noticed the blinkers-- those are the same pattern as the ones I put on my '83.

The bike looks great! (Did you save the pantyhose as a souvenir?)

Nice one Mark, puts mine to shame! Mine was shiny like that for a day or 2,then the snow came...now its covered in grime and salt. No fun riding in -2 (28F)!

EDIT- LOL, just noticed the 2 missing screws on the fairing trim under the screen, they're missing on mine too... a real bugger to fit,and I don't wanna take the screen off...

I have access to some plastic gromets at work which will fit those holes nicely.

The day of my MOT it rained continually!

No! I removed them with a gloved hand!
