Thanks for all the friendly advice and help from Chacal!

I got the carbs cleaned, they were nasty as heck, but it still didn't start up. I went through the electricals again and checked the ignition coil resistance, down to the pickup coils and that was the ticket! Ripped the magnets off my parts bike and soldered them up. The bike started up INSTANTLY upon depressing the starter button (sounded B--E--Autiful!)

Now I need check the valves, get a YICS tool, vacuum sync the carbs, and colortune. (Am I missing anything?)

Thanks again for the help, I'll be back for more :D

    Wet-set the floats?

Then once it's running right, REBUILD THE BRAKES. The life you save will be your own.

And don't ride on (remember they're tubeless) tires over 6 ~8 years old, max.

Congrats, by the way. It's a good feeling to get a non-runner to fire up. Once the valves are in spec, check the compression before proceeding.

I'll add those things to my list!

Do you recommend a Yics eliminator, or to get a yics tool and stick to tuning that way? What is the best priced compression testing kit that would work for me?
