Finally making a start on the xj 600 - a couple of pics.

    I have finally started to strip the old girl down. I have toyed so far and been riding for a few weeks but now the MOT test is due and there is play in the monocross arm linkage.

    Why is it so complicated? And as you can imagine, the bolt that runs through the frame fixing (And gets covered in cr*p) was the hardest to remove. Thank goodness for the wd40 kindly supplied by my employer. A big thankyou to my employer as they will also be providing the workshop to remove the allen bolts that retain the relay arms, degreasing tank and bearing fitting tools. Even if they don't know yet!!!

    Next we move onto the pantyhose being used as an air filter - note the "Scrunchie" being used as a retaining band. Perhaps the PO was a lady (Maybe at weekends only)

    Note the unique position of the regulator and electrical tape insulation.

    I do have a proper air filter and access to lots of decent crimps!!
