    Hi all out there.
Have been messing around with my clutch adjustment and just cant seem to find neutral when she warms up.
I have to turn her off and back on again..
She goes thru the gears fine but I have to power the engine off to locate neutral.
So when I pull up I switch off...Back on again and just pop her into neutral no problem.
Any ideas or is this a common thing on the XJ's?
    Thanking you all as usual.
    Morg.

    Thanks mook1al,
When warmed up she idles at 1050 bang on.
So..fine tuning...in or out at the perch end.?
What I mean is.do I adjust the cable with small turns of the adjuster at a time.? Clockwise or anti clockwise.?
    Once again..thanks for the advice.
    Morg.

Hey Morg, here is something else to consider, you may have a weak shift drum detent spring. Or it may be broken, I'm not sure if this detent affects shifting but I'm sure it affects finding or not finding neutral.
