It looks like an over-filled gas tank spoiled a lot of hard work.

Next time give the tank an extra coat of Paint.
    Let that dry.
Wet sand the Tank after the paint has dried for a day or two.
    Wash ... dry.
Blow-on a couple of coats of Clear.
    After that Clear dries, nice.
Buff it out with 3M Finishing Compound.

Did mine like that, (clearcoat and polish). He might like the satin look, though. Lots doing it that way these days.

I just wanted a flat black look to it.

I was tired of the orange coat that the guy I bought it from had on there, and decided to flat black it... its just until I get back from deployment in which I plan to get a custom job, as I want to make a bobber with a Boba Fett theme...

    LMAO.

My girl is getting a family portrait done on her arm, so far just dad and mom.

I do like that name "Bobber Fett"
but I'm not from the area, I'm from So Cal by way of Beautiful San Diego.
and I miss the bike riding weather so.

how long ya been here? I gotta say this has been a bizarre summer, we usually get more uh, well, summer. Me, I'm lovin it. 65 and overcast without rain is what I call perfect. Beats the heck out the heatwave the rest of the country is seeing. Then again by what you're accustomed to 65 and overcast is what, a chilly christmas?

Our weather does good things for tire life, I'll give it that.
