After changing out the worn rear tire that came with my bike when I bought it (only took four hours this weekend), I finally got to ride it to work today. What a hoot! Before today, my only experience riding was at the motorcycle safety course. I don't think I got over 20 mph then. And this bike is also quite a bit larger.

I only live seven miles away from my office, but I decided to take it a couple of miles up the highway first. I couldn't believe how much pressure there was on my head and neck from the wind. Then I remembered to close my hemet visor - LOL. It was nice to ride the bike that I've been tinkering with for the last two months.

It was still kind of freaky, but I'm looking forward to getting used to the feel of the bike. I'm the proverbial "grandma" on the road, and speed has never really been a big attraction to me. I like safe. But, I'm glad to finally be on the bike on the road. It felt great!
