So I figured out how to use the Search function on this site ;). I have found some good explanations and examples of getting generic flasher relays from AutoZone, OReilly, etc. That's all well and good. I have a freakin' degree in computer engineering (which has a strong emphasis in electrical engineering). I'm sure I can figure out the wiring and stuff.

What I DON'T have a degree in is mechanical engineering. Most of the replacement relays don't have a nub like the stock ones for the little rubber mounting boot.

So those of you who have replaced this relay, did you just zip tie the thing in place by the wires or... what? Epoxy? Use the Force? Let it dangle? Duct tape?

The most reasonable (yet still rather silly) solution I have come up with is rubber bands, looped over a couple of times to get them taut. That requires checking and replacing them a lot, though. Rubber bands don't deal well with weather. Ideas?
