Ok, so here's the deal. This is the tank that was on the bike when I got it. It looked good except for some scratches. I started to sand it down for new paint only to find that almost the whole tank is covered with varying thicknesses of bondo. My theory is that it is just badly dented. I dug some pretty deep grooves into it with a wire brush drill attatchment without finding metal. It never leaked for me so i am assuming its just dented. I ended up just finding another tank to use in better condition. If someone has some skill with dent repair it could work. If anyone wants it shoot me an offer, I'll probably take it.
