My XJ700 has 38mm KYB forks and so does the virago 1100. Progressive specs the same fork spring for both bikes.

Race tech makes cartridge emulators and springs for the 1100. I expect that they should fit my bike.

    Has anyone tried these?
Does anyone have any experience with race tech?

Not tried them... want to put ninja forks on? ;)

The virago ones should be an improvement - I think there is another thread right now where they are discussing it.

Btw - what are you up to on Saturday? I'm hoping to have my new bike ready, and will likely have my Maxim's new owner around for a ride... get out of dodge type stuff... :D

Or - we could say any Hali riders can meet in my drive way and we can shoot the breeze... I've got enough space in my drive that we'll be ok - chairs and cold water refreshments on hand.

Waverly rd is right next to me - as is my favorite local loop:

Yes the springs will work well.

I used Gold Valve emulators on my Vmax. I liked them so much I made copies for my Seca Turbo.

Thanks Injuhneer, I assume that the emulators will fit my forks too since the springs are what holds them in place.
    Do you agree?

Ridden that road a few times since then... had to pass a few (2) cars on monday - but with the cbr that wasn't really a problem. Still kept it nice and slow - I really can't afford the tickets. Travelled ~120km and only had to pass 2 cars... I consider that still low traffic. :D

Road condition is pretty good - I'll have to make the suspension a bit softer on the cbr to make it as plush as the maxim - but for now I'm enjoying how well it sticks to the road.

I have a set of these on right now... not really a street tire. :D

I think Casey will be over tonight to do some basics...
