My unquenchable curiosity is driving me crazy; within the upper fork tube about 35mm up from the bottom is a device that is spring loaded it looks to be an oil control valve that the tapered aluminum spool may or may not contact when the forks are fully compressed, the valve is just below the short rebound spring. It looks to be at the right location to interact with the larger holes in the rebound control rod when compressed and the smaller holes when extended.

I am modeling the forks in 3D and can’t see how to disassemble this valve. Anyone have details on this area?

In the picture the valve is just an undefined area just under the short spring
