I've made a few sets on different bikes. The Secas and Maxims are not real hard to fabricate forward controls for.
I used flat stock (triangle shaped) from the front motor mount bolts. Then welded an 18" long 1" round stock to the brackets. The pegs and shifter/brake levers mount to the ends of the round stock then.
Do a search on some of the forward controls made for bikes and you can get some good ideas there.
There will be trial and errors along the way, so don't get discouraged if the first ones don't work just right. Every pair I make, I learn a trick or two along the way.
Shifter rods are usually 1/4" round stock with clevis ends. The brake rod needs to be stonger because of the brake force causing it to bend more easily, so you will need 5/16" or 3/8" rod for that. I use 3/8" on mine.
