I recently picked up a 1980 650 maxim that I have some mechanical work to do to. But it was also going to be my winter project. Going to turn it into a cafe racer if everything goes like planned. My question though is are the frames and the mounting points for the side body panels and the seats the same on both? I know the tanks are interchangeable but what about the side panels and seats?? If they are the same I will just see about rounding up a set off of eBay and if not I will just see what I can come up with on my own.

Thanks BlueMaxim! This project may turn out to be easier than I thought. But then again I better not say that just yet as I haven't even started the strip down yet.
