    Hi,
currently in the middle of building a cafe racer XJ550 SECA & before cutting the rear subframe out of the bike for a monoshock conversion I never measured the ground clearance fron the bottom of the engine/chassis rails....

Has anybody got a standard 550 SECA that they could possibly measure from the underside of the frame rails to the ground for me please with the bike sitting upright. Front of rails/engine & to the rear near the engine mounts aswell if possible.

    Thank in advance.

    Col.

OK, here you go. Right at 9" front-rear the whole time the lower rail is parallel to the ground. That's to the frame.

KEEP IN MIND that there is also another 2 3/4" of collector box below the frame on the stock bike.

    Thanks Fitz.

I did think they were parallel to the ground from the photos I've looked at.

    Cheers
