3H5-81980-00-00 - Your Yamaha dealer should be able to order it.

Can probably get an equivalent at RadioShack for about $2.00.

    1) How do you know it's fried?

    2) How did you fry it?

Maybe he jump-started the Bike off his running Hummer. That ought to do the trick.

    Age is a factor.

Fuse panels, Alternator Brushes, Starter Brushes, Starter Clutches, Brake Master Cylinders, Cam Chains and Tensioners, Switches and Solenoids are all beginning to act their age ... Old!

So far, we've had a fix for every problem that comes along. I suspect finding you a new Diode won't be too difficult.

You can get the Yamaha Shaped one or a Radio Shack Shaped one. Their function is exactly the same.
