I'm starting in on the R&R of my front brakes. They were taken off by the PO and I refuse to ride a bike with no front brakes! I got a couple questions for anybody that has done something similar to their bike. Its an 82 XJ650 with drag bars so I am going to replace the master cylinder with a level one from mikesxs.com. My first question is would it be better to use the master that has the 13mm or 16mm bore? I am also replacing the original rubber line with a 41" ss one. Any problems with going with a one piece instead of the original 2 piece? I'll be putting up some pictures of my project as soon as I get them off my phone. Thanks!

The 13 should be fine for single disk, but the 16 will have a shorter throw. The only issue replacing a two line setup is the fact that the fork travel my cause binding issues. Modern bikes usually run from the MC to the caliper, but they have less travel.

Make sure you get the correct banjo bolt angles, and you should be good.
