Front fork dust cover

    How is the fork dust seal cover held in place.

    I'm talking about the cromed cover that sits on top of the rubber dust cover. One of mine is loose and blows around at highway speeds. There are two slots in the cover but nothing obvious that fits into it.

    I used Rtv sparingly to glue mine down.

    Is that common? I thought of that samesolution but guessed that it might lead to problems.
