You should check your gas lines and petcock when the flow starts.

Im thinking you are seeing the bottom of the water fall. It is probably originating much much higher.

The air box drains right above that boot.

Look for a stuck carburetor float pouring fuel into the air box.

You may want to check your oil for fuel dilution. Gas in oil is NG for bearings, cams, and piston skirts.

And after you un-stick the float you may as well plan on replacing the plugs, oil and filter, and the air filter. And don't forget to wipe out the airbox, like I did. Oops.... be right back....LOL.

Stop the flow of Fuel to the Carbs.
Drain the Crankcase, Oil Filter Dome, Airbox.

Remove Driveshaft Boot. Drain and elevate Shaft Tunnel.

Determine why the Fuel leaked into the Cases.
    Leaking Petcock?
    Left on Prime?

    Rebuild or Install New Petcock.
Evaluate Carb Floats: Service or Replace the Floats.

After the Crankcase has drained (and been blown-out with air).
    Install New Filter
    Install Sale Oil for Flush-out.

Add Insurance so it don't happen again:

Aux Shut-Off Valve / Hdwe Store / Briggs & Stratton Fuel Valve:
