I have a 1994 xj600...i was wondering if its possible to change the vacuum fuel pump to an electric one from a newer model of xj. Was told there are "3 wire and 4 wire" elecric pumps and i would need a "3 wire". If so, how might it be done and where might i find one?

    thanks in advance

The older XJs are all gravity feed with a vacuum operated petcock. No fuel pumps at all. I'm not familiar with the 90s models and that may the case with most of us.

The 650 turbo has an electric fuel pump and a pressure regulator- - Dont get that pump, it would be too much (like 20 LBS!!) I would guess you only need a couple pounds pressure. I'm only familiar with 2 wire pumps.
