ive been on here for most of the evening...... ive had a few bad apples on here ruin my days over the months, but was usually one here, and one there..... tonight.... im following posts and generating my OPINION!!!! which is what people are after. when did this site become so full of negative nancys? people are getting way to hurtful in there posts. (not about me because if you dont like my bike... i could give a rats" but to alot of other people. when someone asks you if you like something..... hidious should not be a response. no one might care that its one less, but i for one am ready to close my accout. i came here to value others opinions.... and maybe find someone who could value mine but now feel its not worth the post to be knocked down, helped up, and then kicked again. sorry, needed to vent

Ahh I think that's the nature of the internet

Of course no one here in this family of XJ'ers mean to be intentionally malicious

But you do see people's personalities come out more "honestly" since the computer screen is available to hide behind

    What'd I miss? Who's picking on you?

We LIKE opinions; but yes this site is also home to a few, shall we say, strongly opinionated individuals.

They need to get over themselves.

Well the thing is when you post a message you are leaving your self open to everyones opinion, good or bad. I would be nice if responders only offered help. But that is not the nature of the beast. A lot of negative responses are meant to help. But they are not what the poster wants to hear. Some are from people who have tried the same things and had no luck in getting them to work.
Some are from people who just can't stand to see a beautiful machine that looks like it just came out of the showroom chopped up for a bobber project.
On the other hand posters complain about negative responses because they insist on trying to do things the easy way instead of the right way. I have seen to many post on here to count where the poster wants a quick fix to get there bikes on the road and complain because they are not getting one.
They ignore sound advice and insist on looking for the quick fix. You have to understand that those who constantly try to help and are ignored do get tired of trying to help. If I see a post where the bike owner is constantly bucking the experts I don't bother with them. I am not going to waste my time. I aways say to each there own. But when They know nothing and don't take the advice of those who do, sell the bike and go sit on the couch. Thats where they belong.
That's my rant. If no one likes it or takes offense to it tough sh*t!!

no one is picking on me..... and you guys are fully right... 100% of the time..... but when someone says do you guys like this or that? the answer should be no, id do it this way, or you should try this, not its hidious or looks like s*it!!! i posted my bike with ideas..... it has alot of skulls on it.... people said "i dont like the skulls" but if you do, it looks good. thats constructive...... or "i think the front skulls are too godly for the bike, they should be smaller is ok... im not trying to sound like a baby or anything, but it seemed like people were being real rude last night. all im saying is those of you who have helped me were wonderful, but im almost done comming on here for the dinks that like to post negitive. I need alot of help... i know cars inside out, but small motors bug the hell out of me.... but id like to do it myself. the site is great, but the amount of people giving it a bad name is seeming to outrank the good guys on here.

I'm not saying everyone. There's only a few bad apples... just stating that last night there were a lot of them. I've met more nice people here than I have in the real world

i offered early pics of my project bike and in response to the seat i chose, someone responded, "i just threw up in my mouth".
i gotta tell you, it made me look at the seat again which IS too big for the bike but i never saw it til someone posted me up about it. my brother agreed with the comment but said he didn't want to hurt my feelings. what bu!!$#/t!
i see this forum as somewhere i can get unfiltered feedback to my questions and choices. i LOVE that.
i understand what you're saying but i kinda like the bluntness this forum provides.
"hideous"....i loved that and didn't even agree!

Now, that would be bad!! Installation instructions clearly state...."PokeMon ears MUST be attached to the sides of the helmet....only!""

Well, that's what I heard anyhow....I mean, I have no first hand knowledge or anything!!

I've seen some pretty testy resonses from members
we consisder to be our guru's. To one another over
a simple diff of opinion. It was dishartening to say the
least-but life go's on and we take the good with the bad.

I looked at your bike. It's a perfect example of choosing
a different look over the 'same as the next bike over'.

I like mod's. If you look at my gallery (the blue paint is the
current color) most think it's a bit over done on the
studs. Thats the most stated opinion I get anyway, but I don't
mind because she mine and it's a work in progress.

Keep on doin' what your doin' and ignore the rest-BUT don't leave
the site! After all, the good done here far outways the bad.
