I finally got around to installing modern ATC style holders and fuses in my bike yesterday. I have an '82 XJ750J and upon referring to my Haynes manual the fuse box is not wired like an XJ750J. The Wires should be red to red, brown to brown, red/yellow to brown, and red/white to brown.
Instead it is wired like an XJ750K- red to red, brown to brown, red/white to red/white, and red/yellow to red/yellow.
The frame number is 15R 011XX. (late 82 model XJ750J)
Is the manual in error or did someone bubba my wiring?

my 81 xj650h is wired just as your bike is, as long as you keep them the same you will be fine.

It runs great, I was just curious why it is wired differently than what the Haynes manual says.
The PO melted the original fuse box and rewired with inline old style fuse holders . He had a 30 amp for the main and 20 amps for the rest.
The connectors were from house wiring and badly corroded wires were inside. It looked like curly from the three stooges got a hold of it.
