Boy do I have alot of questions... Looking at the layout of the bike I'm wondering if it is possible to fabricate something to hold a pair of Givi hard case saddle bags. Looking at a few sites, it seems that most manufacturers (Givi, SW Motech) only make stuff for the latest bikes. Wondering if anyone has tried and had success at mounting hard cases on their xj700s? I would love to find something I could just bolt on. The bike I bought has a backrest so I know I can mount a sissybar bag w/ no problem.

Actually its a 1985 XJ700 Maxim (it is not the X model). According to the local weatherman, the rain should stop a bit this Friday so I will be able to roll it out and take some photos. Photos sitting in a garage just wont do it justice :D
