Hello well golf season is about here sooo Has anyone came up with a way to safely carry the clubs on the bike so they all don't fall out? I guess I could try to put them over my shoulders as my back has a backpack type sling that can use both shoulders while walking but I would prefer something that doesn't restrict my movement. I can't think of a great way to do this has anyone accomplished this? I only have to go 1.5 miles or so from home to the course. Pics if you have any are welcome.

I used to carry a reduced set just with a strap across the shoulders like a long bow, it just depends how well you can play with a 5 iron, wedge & a putter.

85maxim, remove your passenger seat, and you will have like a 2 or 3 inch deep slot, then, run a bungee strap or something from your grab bar to something more in fornt of your bike, it should work.. may look trashy, but it should work.. oh, maybe lay a cloth down so you dont scratch the beautiful orange paint

Check out this thread and look at all of the links to get some ideas.

In the link they discuss carrying everything from pedal bikes to surfboards to rifles. If you could carry theses a set of golf clubs should work to.

Polock, I like both and am a member at the local golf club. I ride the bike well everyday for the last three weeks and will all summer, fall until the roads get icy again It is my main transportation except for winter. Sometimes you just need to go out and hit the crap out of somehting so it might as well be a golf ball!!

Shooter then I'd have to put the ugly backrest back on as I only have the tall one with the back pad on it. Not the lower grab handle. I don't like the looks of it so it hangs on the wall and will only return to the X if the wife wants to go on ride or I load up for a weekend trip and need it to strap things to.

I like some of them ideas but they are $$ for being on the cheap I will try to sling them over and see how that works just around the block if it is horrible it won't happen again. Of course most of the time i go with friends so it shouldn't be an issue too often.

I also thought of making some sort of slip on platform for the rear footpeg to set them on then strap them to the bike.

Wizad, you call a 5 iron, a wedge, and a putter a reduced set? No better than I play I could just strap a putter across the handlebars!
