    Hello from Arizona!

    Not sure why I am just getting around to registering here, but good to see you have a growing and thriving group here.

    Briefly, my name is Dean and I have been riding my XJs every day (we can do that here!) for the past several years. I've always loved older bikes (primarily Hondas) but recently got back into Yamahas (my first street bike in 1986 was a Yamaha).

    I currently ride my 81 Seca 750 on a regular basis, taking it to work every day and out for rides in the country and for canyon strafing on the weekends.

    I've been riding off and on for about 20 years. In my spare time, I'm an MSF instructor for T.E.A.M. Arizona, one of the largest motorcycle training companies in the country.

    My full time job is as an IT Director, which is another way of saying that I am my company's head geek.

    I hope I can contribute something to this group and help it grow.

    Welcome Dean;
    I just bought a 82 xj650j a few months back. Been doing some work on it getting it ready for spring. I'm a beginner, and am trying to get into a safety program now. They seem to always stay booked up. They offer the classes here at the community college. Hope to get in soon.

    Keep trying, Richard! I've had many of my students tell me that taking the class saved their lives.

    I take refresher courses myself from time to time to brush up on my skills. You can never be too sharp on these mean streets.

    Welcome Dean. I checked out your picture gallery. VERY nice rides! Must be nice to ride all year round 8O 8).

    I think everyone (car drivers and motorcyclists) should take the classroom Motorcycle Safety course. Money well spent, that’s for sure.

    Here Here!

    If cagers new just a little bit more about their two wheeled cousins I think the road would be a safer place for both of us...

    Welcome Dean!
