    Hello all,

The other day I noticed my handlebar brake lever wasn't lighting the lamps on the back of the bike. After verifying that the rear switch lit them, I finished my ride and took apart the front switch. It appears to be overheating. The plastic is a little melted and when I held the switch together, I got a small burn. There appears to be a significant amount of corrosion on the center pin of the switch. Can I just clean up the corrosion and call it good or do I need to order a switch and dig into the rats nest behind the headlight?

The switch in the lever is not too expensive just replace the old one with new or a good used one and be done with it.

    ^ what he said.
    $8.00 for a new one.

It's been recently listed as NLA by Yamaha, so you'll have to find a reseller that still has stock. Start a converstation with Chacal; he should have them on hand.
