    Guys,

Was nosing around to change my rear shocks...found these below...

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... OTORS:1123

Emailed the guy regarding fitment to other bikes...ie ours... and he replied that others from the XJ forum have bought these shocks from him in the past.

But he indicated the eye is 1/2" and the width is 1.25".

    FWIW...

Just remember a Harley weights lots more than your XJ, if you install them be prepared to have that "hard tail ride". I have a set on a XS1100 and the ride was prety bad because the springs are so stiff.

ihad a set of progressive fhocks for a sportster 11 in i think it road like a hardtail maybe it was because they were lowering shocks. i had no suspejnsion rise at all from the driveshaft and it was putting down 125 rwhp. and they were on the softest setting

I heard that Suzuki Intruder shocks will fit our XJ's and offer a nice ride. Can anyone shed some light on this?

The virago shocks are a direct bolt-in. I have a set on my xj700 bobber that I put on last week. They are an inch shorter. I have them set to the middle setting, but if you need it a little lower yet, put them on the softer settings and you'll get a little lower yet as you sit on the bike. If you need to see a pic of what they look like, let me know and I'll take one for you.
