I finally got around to fixing my broken exhaust studs. I was able to drill out and heli-coil the head at #2, without removing anything but the #2 header tube. I was slightly disappointed with the end result though. I torqued the collar and new bolts down as much as I dared but still got a nasty, loud leak at the head. It appears the pipe rattled around inside the head for so long that the hole is a wallered out. Any suggestions for what I can stick in there to help seal up the leak?

Try replacing the exhaust gaskets, with the pipe rattling is probably wore the gasket down and won't seal.
