New to forum so want to say HI to all and say this is a GREAT site!
Ok, I want to wrap my headers with black header wrap because they are getting rusty and I do not want to paint them. With doing this, it will hold the heat in and Im not sure if this is a good idea being its air cooled. Any thoughts?

wrapping your headers is perfectly fine.
The engine is air cooled - not the exhaust. Holding the heat in the exhaust has been said to help exhaust flow. I'm sure it's very minimal in this application - but very benificial in high horsepower/performance applications.

Never thought about moisture build up under the wrap when not ridding. Thanks for bringing that up Hillsy.

I can make one suggestion here. If you want to wrap your header pipes with a fiberglass wrap, I highly suggest getting the pipes ceramic coated inside and out. The coating will completely prevent the pipes from rusting. And it will help insulate the heat inside the pipes as well. Thus, multiplying the effects of the header wrap.
