    I just scored an 82 550 Maxim identical to mine for $100. All it's missing a gas tank and has a seized engine but The exhaust system, side covers seat and many other parts are in near mint condition. So by the end of next riding season my XJ should look almost brand new :D

    Good for you man! I feel for you and it's a shame to be restrained by that cold. Here in Las Vegas we can ride pretty much all year. But don't get too bummed out, my 750 Maxim is completely disassembled for a resto job. I'll be lucky if I can ride this year at all.

    carbs, airbox for former pod user, shims(always remove them and the cams cause you never know), boots,

    clutch hub, oil pump, cylinder head with cams and valve cover, cam chain guides, cam chain tensioner...

    Lot of meat on them bones yet.

    Yeah there is definitely plenty of meat but I couldn't get anymore of the parts to budge.
