I have been doing alot of research on this site and I must say that I am very impressed! I can tell that everyone has put alot of time and effort to provide some very in depth and relavant info int this site to help us noobs get up and running. Thank all of you very much for not only posting this information but also making it available to all of us who without this site would've surely been in way over our heads. I have 2 xj's, a 650 and a 750, both maxims that i would like to have up and running before the next riding season. i have the 750 running already but not to my satisfaction. The 650 will end up a bobber while the 750 will be my "stock" restoration. Any help and or advice would be really appreciated. I will be posting pics of both bikes soon. Again, thanks to all of the great info and experience you guys have put into this.

I'm biased, but would have to say this is one of the best brand/model specific forums out there. Good luck with the restoration/bob projects!

Make sure to create a signature box for yourself so we all know what bike(s) you are working on. :)

    Welcome!

    Ok.... lol.
I have a good range of mechanical abilities.
Setting valve shim clearances, Check. Rebuilding carbs and syncing, Check.
Adding a signature box to my profile... Weighed measured and found lacking... lol.
could someone give a technological handicapped person a few instructions? I can't find the box to add it in!
    Thanx in advance, Gary
