Hi everyone. I should be getting a 1982 Maxim XJ750 late next week, and am glad I found this site. It's been a while since I have had a ride, so I am looking forward to getting back in the saddle.

Thanks for the site and all the great advice. Finding this place made the decision to buy a 26 year old bike a little easier.

I have already ordered the XJ CD and have also ordered the Haynes manual from Chacal.

Based on reading through some stuff, I guess replacing the fusebox would be a good thing to do early on.

    Cheers!

    Welcome aboard Hack!

I bought an 82 Maxim 750 back in April and it doesn't run like a 26 year old bike! You'll find some great info here!

    Welcome aboard Hack,

I decided to revive my 750 after 9 years of just sitting there.

This forum and the group as a whole are just great at helping with what ever you need to know or learn or find for that matter.

This board is awesome I started the season with a new to me 1982 XJ650 and no mechanical knowledge. I have successfully cleaned and tunes the carbs. While still keeping the bike running and loving it.
