1. Some members were not receiving emails sent from XJbikes.com. For example: "Forgot your password?" function to reset your password would not send email to some members. I believe this has been resolved now. Please use "Contact Us" form (see page footer link) if you still have email issues. SnoSheriff

I was just thinking about last summer when the site kept having issues due to funding.......so I just decided it was time to send a contribution. I would like to take just a moment and encourage everyone else to do the same. Just a few $ from each person would go a LONG way for this site. Lets make sure that we're here for years to come. Click on the "make a donation" button on the left above the menus.

    Dave,

Thanks for the reminder that not everything is free. Logged into PayPal and dropped my $50 into the pot.

I could never have gotten my '82 750 Maxim "barn find" into the shape its in now with out the great advice found in this forum.

I'm doing a 2000 mile motorcycle camping trip with some buddies in August and I totally trust my XJ to get me there and back.

If you've used this site to get your ride in shape, please consider donating just a few dollars to keep it going into the future. Jeez, sounds kind of like public radio......

Is this site hosted on a Pentium 3 or something its not like it have a ton of members online all at once...

Donating to this site is as wise as the wizards who contribute priceless information here.

Proud to say that I have donated. :D

This is not the correct thread to publicly justify your tight purse strings, if you feel this site falls short of your expectations then don't donate. If you have a technical problem, click the "Contact Us" link on the left hand side and notify The Source.

Otherwise, like Dave said, if everyone tosses in a couple bucks it will be for a VERY good cause. Try to imagine tackling bike issues without this great resource.

P.S. on rather rare occasions I get a 'flooding the system' message. It seems to only happen when accidentally 'double-clicking' on an iPad.

I only ever got that message once. I do get a 'database error' message occasionally, but I just click on the 'reload page' button and it comes up correctly then.

I flood the system occasionally, opening up a bunch of topics I want to read. I just need to be more patient.

Ditto! And if the proprietor of this fine establishment is listening, I'd love to help update the forums to a newer version/system. And if you're considering changing webhosts or something like that, I'm at the ready with advice on that.
