Ok I know I seen a How to well two of them one by Rick o matic and one a link to another site for replacing the plug wires on the Xj coils. Well since then I replaced my hard drive and lost the info. I need to replace the plug wires and need to know what type to buy? Copper strand? the spiral coiled stuff? I am looking for the surgery method of cutting the coils open removing the wires and epoxing things back together. Any help on finding the links guys?? or at least on what wire is needed I can do the rest from memory.

Wizard I don't want to splice I would rather have rid of the entire old wire and have no chance for moisture to get into the wires. Plus I want it to still look proper. With the cut and epoxy unless you get real close you are not going to see the defect. I would love to get a set of Dyna's for it but I still would ned wires and I have been out of a job for some time to money isn't plentiful.

well I found the link to one of the repairs Iand it loo seen but the link no longer worKs. I know from memory how to do it I guess I will have to take pics and create a how to for the forum. It looks like I want copper core 7mm wire for this projoct too bad I don't htink I can get any local but dennis kirk carries it for cheap. Then I will put something together while i do it. I may have to weigh the costs out for materials, epoxy, plasti dip plug wire and see if I would just be better off to buy dynoa's and wire but I doubt it would be less expensive to buy new even tho that is probably the best route.
