    Hi all,
Me again..Now have my XJ650 finally on the road. She only has 26000kms on her but I notice that when I pull off in first gear I sometimes get a clicking noise which appears to come from the drive shaft..Seems only in first gear.
I recently changed the shaft oil..When I am slowing down too I hear like a slight rumbling noise..I have never had a shaft driven before and am wondering if this is normal.?
As always thanking you all in advance.
    Morgan.

Was there an unusual amount of metal in the final drive oil ?? or on the magnet??
Just helped a friend pick up a GL 500 SilverWing with a wasted final drive, however these units are almost bulletproof.
Maybe the problem is in your first gear engagement.
