Hey everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself. New to XJbikes, I just stumbled upon it searching help for my bike. To introduce my bike, it's a 1982 Yamaha Seca 750. It's my first bike and I bought it with my graduation money for $400 from my uncle. Since I have gotten it I have gotten it running (jus thad to clean out the old fuel and carbs) and ran some fuel cleaner through it. I also had to replace the carb-intake manifolds ($314, yikes!) as they had vcaumn leaks causing some unwanted backfires, but after replacing them it runs like new. As a current project I have started sanding the bike down to get it painted (satin black with a clear coat and gray/silver pinstriping down the road). My most immediate issue at the moment though are my front brakes. When it took all my strength to wheel the bike around in neutral I knew something was up and I pulled the front calipers off only to find them stuck open. I was able to get them back in and I hope simply working them in and out will get me back in buisness. Tonight, while looking for advice on the forums (when I stumble don this site) I found all the recommendations to do a full brake system check/cleaning. Well I got the MC from behind the light (pain in the butt) and the rubber dust boot felt a bit funny. Pulled it off and it was filled with brake fluid jelly mixed with rust. I'm not a very happy camper. Chances are I will have to pull all my cables and check them. I will probably replace them all. So as of now I think I'm looking for an MC rebuild and some brake system parts. *gasps for breath*

Quite a mouthful. Just thought I'd bring everyone up to speed on my situation and just tell a bit about myself. If anyone can point me in the direction of a rebuild kit for my MC feel free. :) I look forward to being a part of this forum :D

P.S. I'll try to post some pictures of my bike. Although it's not much to look at considering it's naked of it's tank and plastic parts.
