I would like to put some Highway Pegs on my Bike. I've found several but don't look like they'll fit. Some are very expensive and others are very good price. Anyone know of a good place to get a pair of Highway Pegs at a good price?

    Second question;
My bike came with what looks like an aftermarket "King-Queen" seat.
I hate the thing since the place where it goes up to separate the 'two' seats is to close. I want to be able to slide back a little more.
What seats from the Yamaha's will fit my 83 XJ750?

    Thank you,
    Chris.

do you have crash bars? most highway pegs will mount to the crash bars without much fuss.

Well, get some crash bars! :)

Seriously, they're a good investment. My bike was knocked over by an idiot in a truck recently, and there was no damage to either the tank or cooling fins (and almost to nothing at all, on the side). I'm pretty sure the crashbar + highway peg took all the impact, with just a gentle scrape on the mirror, top of exhaust, and foot peg otherwise.

Saved hundreds of dollars worth of damage, potentially!

Come to think of it, I have a spare set if you're interested. Does $20 +shipping sound fair? They're off a 650, you should check with others and ask if 650 crashbars fit a 750 first.

Give me fist dibs! So far, several things from a 650 hasn't fit, but not sure about these. What kind are they? Maybe I can look it up online to see. I could always drill or weld a mod to make them fit.

    650/750 crash bars are interchangeable.

if you were planning on painting them, i would offer to let you get the ones i have and get the chrome ones from fin.

    just an option, haha.

All the ones I looked at say they are different, and they look completely different. How are they 'interchangeable' if wherever they sell them they sell them as not fitting and they look different?

650 and 750 crash bars are not the same or at least the ones I have are not the same. Then there are a few different versions. Single loop or loop with center brace.

Here are some mini black engine guards on fleabay, if you want black ones. I have the same ones on mine and they look great IMO. Most any 7/8" clamp on pegs will mount to them.

If you get the 650 crash bars and they fit... I have highway pegs from my 650 that I took off because my legs are long and putting my feet on the highway pegs just isn't comfortable.

Never mind - noticed you asked for what other Yamaha seat would fit . . . . couldn't figure out how to do a 'strike through' on the original text so quoted it.

So on that tangent - my ass doesn't care for the narrow profile of the king/queen - however I spent a chunk of cash getting it re-skiinned (should have had it re-padded) and it looks really nice now . . .

Anyways - PM me if you get the 650 crash bars and we can sort out a price/ barter for the highway pegs.

    Are yours chrome or black?

With 19 hours left on the eBay sale, I hope you don't wait until those are gone to answer.
    Thank you,
    Chris.

P.S. I was thinking that some places say they fit and others say they don't, doesn't mean half are wrong and half are right, it can mean that some will fit both and others won't.
Don't mean to be rude or anything, but if I had a pair of these, it would take me about 5-10 minutes to find out if they fit a 750 or not. If I knew the brand, I'd look it up. If not, I'd look at a 650 that fits and a 650 that doesn't and compare it to what I have. No need to avoid the questions or have it be a mystery.

Fintip, why do you offer a product, then when I express interest, you completely avoid it?
    Chris.
