Well here it is already Christmas time again. I finished my 83 maxim 750 last April carbs were good and all cleaned out. I put about 5 miles on it. Now it just sits after bad health struck last June I try and start it up once a month regardless. I have had 1 surgery since October been started 1 time since then. I did mix up some Gas and stabil Hoping to get it in it over this weekend and let it run a bit and move it out to its winter home out back in the garage. I am hoping the stabil will do its job for about a month and a half til i can start it again. A few of the drain screws are stuck again. Have to be completely off my foot after surgery Dec 30 for 1 to 1.5 months. Already have my seca carbs off clean just need to wet set the floats. Have a feeling all 3 xjs plus my suzuki triple are gonna have to have the carbs cleaned by then. Anyone else recommend any thing i can do. Battery is fully charged

Thanks it should be (i hope) My insurance company is so slow doing anything. I have been dealing with this foot trying to get it fixed since August its to the point now of the bone keeps moving around last week it even came out the top of my foot for a breath of fresh air the found its way back home a few days later. You would have thought they would have fixed it since its been pushing out on the skin on the side of my foot. So instead they chop the callus off to re leave the pressure from the blood then 2 weeks later the foot dr says its healing nice but refers me to a surgeon does not even bandage it back up less then a week later i am in the hospital with a bad infection they even had to due surgery to get rid of the infected tissue. Went and saw the surgeon 3 weeks after i got out of the hospital nov 17th absolute quickest appt i could get they tried and tried when i was in the hospitalnext available outpatient surgery Dec 30th. Now i am dealing with a staph infection in it and can't get my dr to let me know if the antibiotic is the right one after they did a swab on it over a week ago.

I store my Seca for about 4 months of the year (if the winter is cold). The battery on a tender, Stabil in the gas, and new oil in the crankcase. It starts up without issue every spring.

The other thing to do is ask your doc if he/she can put a bug in the lab's ear. They do get backed up, but it shouldn't take more than a week to get results back from a staph culture.

K-moe i wish i had enough battery tenders for the bikes. Maybe i will put the tender on the maxim i have a bigger size battery in it then it calls for . Pull the one out of the suzuki it has one of those new fangled dry cell batteries that is actually sitting on its side in the box. Bring that battery inside My bike garage is pretty warm but i am sure it will drop into the 30s if we see any teen temps. We had 2 days in the upper 20s but the past few weeks its been warm 70s this weekend coming up.. No body i know around here rides bikes would like to get it all warmed up drive it around the block a few times i can't shift it. Think the front brakes will be fine we put everything new mc ss lines re did the calipers synthetic fluid. We have very low humidity here in n GA .
I got the results back sunday from the swab wrote and asked the dr then Tonight i finally got an email amoxicillin 500mg 3x a day. I should not be saying this but i am waiting to hear back from the lawyer possibly going after the insurance company for malpractice Negligence. Even when i got out of the hospital the first time when the zuki bit me they wanted me to go to wound care 1st appt was 1.5 months away unless i wanted to make a 5 hr round trip once a week not including 1-2 hrs ATL traffic and what ever time i was in the office. Beginning of Sept made the appointment with the foot dr on October 5th went back 2 weeks later 19th released appt made Nov 17th. with surgeon After my nice 5 day visit in the hospital on the 25th including surgery 38k later Nov 17th appt made with hospital out patient surgery dec 30th 4 to 6 week off my foot completely. On top of this I am diabetic you need to take quick care of your feet. Also with the cmt i can't use crutchers so i have been off my feet since July. It should have been fixed healed and back on my way months ago. To be in really bad pain for 4 months not sleeping ect i did not even have pain pills to a week after the bone punched thru my skin last week.
On the bright side i know the seca runs just need to wet set the floats and a battery. The other seca needs a battery and carbs cleaned and painted. Suzuki justs needs a new paint job I even have a set of tins for that and a seat cover and some polishing. I have owned it over 6 months still have not ridden it. Can't believe how many people want to buy the2 stroke triple off me since its 1st year only year with front drum brakes.

Geez..... It's been a rough road!!

I charge the batteries, fill the tanks, put a squirt of seafoam in, then start 'me up in the spring..... Unless there's a nice and clean-road day to ride.----
Like today--- in going for spin in a few hours :)

Carbs are gonna have to come off again waited to long. Sunday cranked it up idles fine give it any gas it will try and stall. Drove it up and down the street a few times in first under 3500 with seafoam and stabil. Runs great with the choke about 1/2 way on. Gonna start it every few days for a week or so hopefully the sea foam will clear them out but i do not think it will
