A buddy of mine that restores kawasakis got this with 2 other kawasakis as a package deal. Needs a lot of work cosmetically. But the owner bought all 3 brand new oldest was a 76. Came out of a basement not rusty just the cheap aluminum scoops and hardware on the steering head are badly corroded. But i have all the equipt to polish it to almost chrome. This will be about a year project tires hydraulics and every other part from sitting. Have to go do a compression test make sure it turns over. He told me he has next to nothing in it so i think i might be able to get it under $500 it has 11k miles 1st year 85 really do not know how to check 2nd gear with the bike not running but hopefully it all works out. 10360250_856120524408007_8096069812109013390_n.jpg 10846263_856120544408005_6688392833868709677_n.jpg

I don't feel bad about it at all. I had a 99 that was perfect with a lot of performance work done to it. Spent a week at the dyno shop extracting everything out of it. Every darn stoplight the fan would come on and cook my legs. Would have done this a little different especially not the cooler fan switch. I could go out and buy a perfect one with the money i got from my rds. The maxim is fine for the traffic we have in Atl and it gets much better gas mileage here is how it sounded before i striped all the forward controls ect off it http://s1366.photobucket.com/user/davesmaximx/media/121907 006_zps4tjww4du.mp4.html
