    Hi all,

I need some recommendations from the collective minds of this group.

My XJ750 has the standard black painted spokes with polished aluminum rim edges & spoke edges and generally are in good shape, except the black looks flat and lackluster.

I can get my aluminum pretty bright, but what is the trick to getting that "wet look" permanently without applying some version of a "dust magnet"

    Thanks!!

    George

Mask up & respray, use electrical tape on the rims & masking tape on the spars, press the tape on hard & trim with a craft knife.

If the paint is still in good shape and hasn't rubbed through on the "pebble pattern" parts, clean with Simple Green or other degreaser/soap. I use Armor All (original) on them after that, or something similar. Wax NOT FUN.

If the paint is clobbered (I'm about to do one myself) then a repaint as Wiz outlined above is in order. I'm going to use low-gloss black "wheel paint" from my local auto parts.
